The Zeeheldenkwartier or Zeeheldenbuurt is a neighborhood in the center of The Hague. The neighborhood is designed in a straight pattern with two squares; the Anna Paulownaplein and the Prins Hendrikplein. Stately homes were built here between 1870 and 1890. After that many more smaller streets with somewhat smaller houses were built.
The Prins Hendrikplein is the center of the area with lots of green. A major renovation project was carried out in the 1980s, which restored the neighborhood and the streets. Partly due to the favorable location between the center and the Scheveningen Woods and the variety of shops and entertainment options, it has become a very popular residential area.
